Challenge #137

Good morning!  I hope all is well for each of you.  And I also hope you are ready to craft.
This week, we have another guest designer for you.  Welcome Shell Swincoe, an avid follower of our sketches,
and here is what she has to say about herself:

Hi my name is Shell, I am a very happily (15yrs) married mom of two gorgeous teenage girls, one mad greyhound Charlie & a leopard gheko called Freddie!
I love card making & have been doing for about 9 yrs, its started when the girls wanted to make their own Christmas cards & just grew from there really! I love my Promarkers but my favourite colouring mediums at the moment are Derwent Inktense pencils & Tim Holtz distress markers! I always follow a sketch when making a card so, I always try & do the sketch on 'Try Stampin' On A Tuesday! I was thrilled when I was asked to be their GDT! Thank you so much for having me xx

Now for our sketch: (Twist- Autumn In The Air)
Here are our samples:

And from the team:

Wow! Amazing cards! I am sure they have inspired you to create your own awesome projects. (Remember, you may use the twist or not)
And thanks to Shell for designing this week.
See you later.

Challenge #136

Hi and happy Tuesday!
Our sketch this week is another basic one with lots of possibilities.  And we have added a twist - Summer's Last Hoorah.  But don't feel that you have to incorporate this twist into your card.  It is just an idea.
Here is the sketch (thanks to Sarah C):
And here are the samples from the team:

I am sure that these stunning cards will inspire you to create something beautiful of your own.  Please post them below.

But first, here is another designer profile - this week get to know a bit about Eileen Lefevre.
Here is a beautiful picture of Eileen and her mom at her wedding and here is a bit about Eileen in her own words:
I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for 15 years and work part-time as a Lunch Supervisor at an intermediate school.  I will be married for 24 years next week Monday to my husband, Richard.  I have 2 kids; Chelsie is in college and Ben is a senior in high school and plays football.  Right now life is crazy right now as this is my last year as President of the Quarterback Club at my son's high school.

I hope you enjoy learning a bit about our designers - I know I do.
Happy crafting to all!

Challenge #134 Top 3

Good morning!
Normally the Wednesday morning post is the top 3 from the previous week.  But, for some reason, there were only four entries last week - so there will be no top three.  All four were great cards and I cannot see leaving one out.  I can only hope that our viewers return this challenge now that school is back in and vacations are over.
Thanks, everyone, for stopping by!

Challenge #134

Hi, everyone!
We are starting a new feature - get to know our designers.  I thought it would be nice if each of the ladies tell you a bit about themselves in her own words.  Up this week is Nancy Seed.
Here is what she has to say:
So if you haven't guest already, I'm Nancy.  A simple gal who loves to create.  I am fortunately enough to be married to my Best Friend Peter for 36+ years now.  Yes I know everyone says they have married their Best Friend, but when you sit in a room and don't even have to open your mouth to have a conversation you know it's a close relationship.  He is my Rock and encourages me in whatever I do.  I love him more today than the day we met.  Together we have two great kids.  Our Son is a Firefighter and married to a great gal.  They have blessed us with our first Grandchild and have another on the way.  Our Daughter is just about finished her education for Dental Hygiene and will graduate in January 2014.  Although she is not married yet we do think that there is the sound of wedding bells coming not long after Graduation, as long as he asks our permission first!

My creativity I would have to say is an inherent one, since my mother was extremely gifted in whatever she decided to undertake and I have followed in her footsteps.  She would look at something and pick it apart and then create the same thing for a fraction of the price.  Another trait that I have inherited.  That was our bond with each other.  My love of cards started about 3 years ago when my Niece Shannon introduced me to it.  Before that I was an avid scrapbooker who enjoyed putting together our vacations, mainly cruises, for us to remember.  I enjoy following various blogs for sketch ideas and inspirations and love to push the envelop sometimes when I make my own cards.  The cards that I do not use for myself personally I sell and all of the proceeds from the sales are shared between Breast  Cancer and Prostate Cancer, two charities that are close to my heart.

I enjoy seeing how others view the sketches that Try Stampin puts out each week and look forward to everyones take on them.  I have even thought the odd time "why didn't I think of that!"

Thanks

Nancy
Now for our challenge.  Here is the sketch:
We have added a twist to the sketch this week --use a back to school theme and some form of metal on your card (if you want).
And the examples from the team:

Now let's see what you create based on our sketch.  I hope we have inspired you to get out your supplies and craft.
Thanks for stopping by!
